From 23rd to 25th May 2023, IPPT PAN hosted 3rd Annual Meeting of AtomDeC -“Atomic Design of Carbon Materials for New Normal Society” project.
Along with the discussion of project work and developement, it was also aimed to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, and drive meaningful discussions on the pressing issues facing various topics. It was attended by AtomDeC consortium members and their master, doctoral and postdoctoral students from Japan, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary. Along with that two advisory board members (Prof. Diego Cazorla-Amorós, University of Alicante, Spain and Prof. Siegfried Eigler, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany) of AtomDeC also attended the meeting. During the meeting three open lectures were organized which was attended by employees of IPPT and other PAN institutes:
- Progress in atomic-level analysis and synthesis of sp2-carbon materials by Prof Hirotomo Nishihara, Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR), Tohoku University (TU), Sendai, Tohoku, Japan,
- Carbon as catalyst, catalyst support, and catalyst promotor for oxygen reduction reaction by Prof Diego Cazorla-Amorós, University of Alicante, Alicante, Spain,
- Examples of Intercalated 2D Materials by Prof Siegfried Eigler, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany.
The project coordinator at IPPT PAN is Amrita Jain from Department of Mechanics of Materials.
