IPPT PAN, consortium leader, with its industrial partners: Fusioncopter Sp. z o.o., and FlyFocus Sp. z o.o. has launched a new research and development project, “U-HeMiT - Unmanned Aerial Transport Platform for Special Forces”.
The project aims to develop new UAV technology (unmanned aerial vehicle) able to provide logistical supply for the Special Forces. The team will design, create and test the UAV demonstrator. The aircraft will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology which will reduce its detection by using low sound emission and minimizing radar cross section. Also, its unique communications and navigation systems will allow the aircraft to maximize the range to 200 kilometers.
The project will consist of five teams. Three of them, headed by dr hab. inż. Dominik Pisarski, dr hab. inż. Tomasz Zieliński, and dr inż. Cezary Graczykowski will be working at the Department of Intelligent Technologies. The remaining two will be headed by Mr. Jarosław Kowalski and Mr. Igor Skawiński, representatives of Fusioncopter Sp. z o. o. and FlyFocus Sp. z o. o.
Rami Faraj, PhD will be the project leader.
The project is financed by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development, as part of the 12/2022 Competition for designing the research and development project for the country’s security and defense. The competition sets out specific subjects defined based on the demand submitted by the legal entities responsible for the country’s security and defense.
