Scientists from the IPPT PAN have been ranked among the most influential 2% of researchers in the world, according to the adopted citation indexes of their publications.
The TOP 2% ranking is prepared by analysts from Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies. It is developed on the basis of researchers’ academic achievements according to the bibliometric index. The evaluation criteria were the Hirsch index, number of citations (including self-citations), Impact Factor and the place and role on the list of authors.
The list includes experts from 22 disciplines divided into 174 more specific sub-disciplines.
The ranking covering the whole academic achievements includes 1244 scientists from Poland representing 155 institutions (universities and research institutes). The ranking with last year’s achievements includes 1305 persons from 148 Polish institutions.
TOP 2% Scientists 2023 consists of two separate lists. The first one (Table-1-Authors_Career) contains the scientific output of the whole career of the scientist. The second table (Table-1-Authors_singleyr_2023) concerns only the citations obtained in 2023.
